This past weekend, I had the distinct honour of attending the BITA Spotlight Awards at the iconic Savoy Hotel in London—a truly memorable evening celebrating excellence, collaboration, and community across the British and Irish business landscape.

A heartfelt thank you to Paul Whitnell and the entire BITA International team for the kind invitation and for hosting such a prestigious event. It was a privilege to be seated alongside the inspiring Dermot O’Grady and his wonderful family, as well as Pam Pamala, Tim MontGUE, his father, and Mr Andy Travis, each of whom brought warmth and energy to the evening.

From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was electric. The event was more than an awards ceremony, it was a celebration of shared values, meaningful connections, and the power of business to make a difference. The room was filled with a vibrant mix of English and Irish businesses, united in support of two incredible charities: the London Irish Centre and the St Vincent de Paul Society.

As a proud new member of BITA, NexGen Cyber is excited to be part of this dynamic and purpose-driven network. What stood out most was the genuine camaraderie among members, the openness, encouragement, and mutual respect that define BITA’s culture. It’s clear that this is a community where businesses don’t just grow, they thrive together.

At NexGen Cyber, we’re committed to supporting BITA members by strengthening their cybersecurity posture and promoting best practices in digital resilience. As a trusted partner, we look forward to helping raise the standard of cyber hygiene across the network and contributing to the continued success of this remarkable community.

Here’s to new partnerships, shared achievements, and a future built on collaboration and trust. We’re proud to be part of BITA and excited for what lies ahead.
