This past Saturday, October 11th, the team at NexGen Cyber had the privilege of attending an event that holds a special place in our hearts, the inaugural Angela the Angel Foundation Dinner Dance, held at the Great Danes Hotel in Hollingbourne.

The evening was a beautiful tribute to the life of Angela Rosemeyer, whose birthday would have been today, Monday, October 13th. Angela’s legacy of kindness, strength, and compassion was felt in every detail of the night, from the heartfelt speeches to the laughter shared among friends and family.
The event was more than a celebration, it was a fundraiser for the Heart of Kent Hospice (hokh.org), supporting families in creating lasting memories with loved ones during palliative care. With over 150 attendees, the room was filled with warmth, generosity, and a shared commitment to making a difference.
Thanks to the incredible support from businesses and individuals, the raffle and auction were a resounding success. Prizes included a signed Arsenal football jersey, a signed England rugby jersey, and many other generous gifts. One of the night’s memorable moments came when our own Michael O’Connor, won a £250 voucher for hair and beauty makeup, a humorous twist given Michael’s famously low-maintenance hairstyle! His good-natured acceptance of the prize brought a great laugh and reminded us all of the joy and camaraderie that filled the evening.
To date, the event has raised over £6,000, with donations still coming in, a testament to the love and support surrounding the Rosemeyer family and the cause they champion.
A special word of thanks must go to Sol Rosemeyer, Angela’s son, who at just 23 years old took on the enormous task of founding a charity and organising such a meaningful event. His dedication, vision, and hard work ensured that the night was not only a success but a fitting tribute to his mother’s legacy.
At NexGen Cyber, we often say we’re more than a team, we’re a family. This weekend was a powerful reflection of that ethos. Supporting Sol and the Rosemeyer family was not just an honour, but a reminder of the values we hold dear: compassion, community, and the courage to make a difference.
To everyone who attended, donated, sponsored prizes, or helped behind the scenes, thank you. You helped create a night that will be remembered for years to come.
