NexGen Cyber at the Heart of Local Sport
At NexGen Cyber, we believe that cybersecurity is about more than just protecting systems, it’s about securing communities. This past weekend, we were proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with two incredible clubs who embody the same resilience, teamwork, and spirit that we value in our own work.

Friday Night Lights: Kerry FC’s Historic Comeback
On Friday, September 12th, NexGen Cyber had the honour of being the match ball sponsor for Kerry FC’s FAI Cup quarter-final clash against Sligo Rovers. What unfolded was nothing short of legendary.
With just 30 minutes left on the clock and trailing 3-0, Kerry FC showed extraordinary grit and determination. They clawed their way back into the game, forcing extra time in front of a roaring home crowd. Then, in the second period of extra time, Daniel Okwute etched his name into club history with a dramatic winner, sending Kerry FC into their first-ever FAI Cup semi-final.
Sunday Showdown: Na Gaeil’s Brave Battle in the County Final
Just two days later, on Sunday, September 14th, we were once again in the stands this time cheering on Na Gaeil GAA Club as they made their first appearance in the Kerry Senior County Final.
Facing a seasoned Dr Crokes side, Na Gaeil delivered a performance full of heart and courage. Despite a narrow defeat in a tense, dramatic finish, the team did their club and community proud. Their journey to the final is a testament to their growth and ambition, and we’re honoured to support them on that path.

Supporting Sport, Supporting Community
At NexGen Cyber, our mission is to protect digital communities, but our commitment doesn’t stop at the firewall. Supporting local sports clubs is part of our DNA in both the UK and Ireland. These clubs are the lifeblood of their communities, fostering connection, resilience, and pride, values that mirror our own.
Whether it’s on the pitch or in the cloud, we believe in backing those who strive for excellence, who rise to challenges, and who bring people together.
We’re incredibly proud to play a small part in the journeys of Kerry FC and Na Gaeil. Here’s to many more memorable moments ahead.
