Friday 30th Jan, the construction, and wider built‑environment community, gathered for an unforgettable afternoon at the BITA London Construction Networking Lunch at the stunning Royal Horseguards Hotel in London. Hosted by the British & Irish Trading Alliance (BITA), this event marked the first major construction networking lunch of 2026 and was, once again, a complete sell‑out with over 200 industry professionals in attendance.

From the moment we arrived in the elegant Reading & Writing Room for pre‑lunch drinks to when we sat down in the historic Gladstone Library for a superb three‑course meal with wine, the energy in the room was nothing short of inspiring. Here’s a glimpse into what made the day so memorable:

🍽️ Brilliant Networking in Beautiful Surroundings

The Royal Horseguards provided a truly distinguished backdrop for an event designed to help business leaders connect, collaborate, and grow. Attendees enjoyed plenty of informal conversation before the lunch began, exchanging ideas, discovering new opportunities, and strengthening old connections.

BITA’s networking lunches are known for bringing together high‑calibre professionals from across construction and related sectors, architects, engineers, consultancies, suppliers, tech providers, and more, and this edition was no exception.

🌟 Fantastic Sponsors – Fantastic Stories

A highlight of the day was hearing from our confirmed sponsors, who each shared insights into their businesses and what’s ahead in 2026.

  • Enterprise Flex‑E‑Rent – champions of flexible equipment solutions for construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Onetrace – innovators in tracking and data visibility tools that make logistics smarter.
  • WillU Group – dynamic business services specialists offering practical support to growing organisations.
  • HRV Group – experts in indoor air quality and ventilation solutions, with exciting new offerings on the horizon.

It was truly energising to hear about the journeys behind these companies, their challenges, breakthroughs, and big plans for the year ahead.

🤝 Building Relationships that Matter

What sets BITA events apart is the quality of connection. It’s one thing to meet someone, but another to find shared business goals, complementary services, or potential partnerships. Many attendees commented on how purposeful the conversations were, and how valuable it is to meet decision‑makers face‑to‑face.

As one BITA member recently put it:

“Attending BITA networking events is one of our core marketing strategies.”

And it’s easy to see why, a few hours at an event like this can unlock conversations that might otherwise take months to initiate.

🍷 Looking Forward

The day wrapped up with continued networking, drinks, laughter, and plenty of business cards, leaving everyone energized for the rest of 2026.

A massive thank‑you to BITA for organising such a well‑run and welcoming event, and to all the companies who joined us. If you couldn’t attend this time, be sure to follow BITA’s calendar for upcoming lunches throughout the year, because you won’t want to miss the next one!
